Basil, Sweet – Ocimum basilicum is a tender annual famous for its culinary use. Lush green leaves that have a very strong scent and white flowers in the summer. This is the classic Genovese variety. Plants require full sun in a sheltered well drained position, they really do not like cold wet conditions. Ideally you should grow them in pots or containers.
