Job Description:       Weekend General Assistant

Location:                    Norton Garden Centre

Working Pattern:       Alternate weekends Saturday (9.30am – 5.30pm), Sunday (10am – 4.30pm)

Required ASAP

Additional hours available to cover holidays and during our busy period.

We are currently looking for a friendly, polite and efficient General Assistant, someone with high standards and that would leave a lasting impression on our customers, so that our customers will want to visit us again. This position will require good communication with our customers some heavy lifting to carry products to customers vehicles and also helping out within the garden centre.

Main Duties/Tasks:

• Customer Service
• Till operation
• Maintain the department’s appearance and the shelves are stocked.
• Carry out goods to customers vehicles
• Unload deliveries, price up and put out onto the shop floor.
• Store overstocks in allocated areas as directed by your line manager.
• Make sure that the department and store is ready for the next day’s trading.
• Watering.

Requirements:

• Retail Experience
• Good Communicator
• Team Player
• Flexible with hours
• Health and Safety Conscious
